WAM's Lived Experience Framework launch event
Queen Victoria Women's Centre
melbourne, australia
Event description
Join us for Women and Mentoring’s (WAM) Lived Experience Framework Launch Event, for an evening celebrating the voices, stories and expertise of women with lived experience of the justice system. We can’t think of a more perfect event to fall within the week of International Women’s Day, sharing the diverse and courageous stories of women at WAM.
What to Expect
- Guest Speakers: We will have some members from WAM’s lived experience group discuss the importance of listening to lived experience voices, the process of creating the framework, and how it can educate those who work in the sector and the broader community. They will also highlight key themes and insights that arose from interviewing women with lived experience of the justice system.
- Q&A: If you have a question to ask the lived experience panel, you are welcome to submit your questions in advance and your question may be answered on the evening. We ask for questions in advance to give our peer group members time to reflect on the question and consider how they wish to answer in relation to their own lived experiences.
- Refreshments and Networking: From 4:30pm there will be light refreshments provided and some time to meet and greet!
