Wānanga Matariki 2025

Kia ora e te whānau,

Pae Wānanga welcomes everyone to come together and participate in our annual Wānanga, a three-day program where we deeply immerse ourselves in the profound traditions, tikanga, karakia, and customs that revolve around Matariki, the Māori new year.

During this event, we will offer workshops that explore various aspects of Matariki, Maramataka, Taiao, and Hautapu.

Your ticket includes:

• Tamariki activiities - Tamariki under 5 must be accompanied by an adult.
• Hautapu Ceremony

What you will need to bring:

• Bedding linen - Pillows, Blankets, Sheets, Towels
• Torch
• Warm Clothing 
• Good walking shoes

**Accommodation will be shared cabins with shared ensuites. Priority for cabins will be given to kaumatua and families with young children.
