WAPF Event at Cloverfield Organic Farm
Event description
Come visit and learn about our local organic farm in Contra Costa County. We will have a potluck and tour. Their farmers will guide us on a tour through the vegetable and herb beds, orchards, farm shed, and nursery. We will be able to taste what they grow. If time permits, Susan Truscott (the farm owner and WAPF member) will give a short talk about what the little farm is all about. Magic Ben, the farm horse, may stop by and pay a quick visit. After our event, attendees will be able to u-pick and purchase fresh organic herbs, vegetables, honey, olive oil, nursery plants, dried herbs, and edible flowers.
The Details:
• Parking is limited to 15 cars, when you reply, we will carpool, please let us know if you can drive or prefer to ride.
* There will be a potluck, bring food to share that meets WAPF standards of nutrient dense foods, and your own plates and tableware.
• Donation suggested of $10 per person or $20 per family to cover the cost for the day - please bring cash or check to the meeting.
• Dress in layers, wear comfortable, sturdy, closed shoes, and bring your water bottle.
• They can accommodate up to 50 guests, please bring your own folding chair.
