Event description

It has been awhile since our Chapter has had a potluck gathering and event. But we have plans in the works!

Join us on March 9th at 1:00 PM in Livermore for a delicious nourishing potluck lunch and an exciting workshop with Ezechi Wachuku on Making Ginger Beer!

Ginger beer is a refreshing and zesty beverage that you can easily make at home with just a few simple ingredients. Learn how to ferment ginger, sugar, and water to create this unique drink with a spicy and sweet flavor profile. You can also customize the flavor to suit your taste.

One of the key benefits of ginger beer is its digestive properties. Ginger is known for its ability to soothe the stomach and aid in digestion, making ginger beer a great choice for those with digestive issues. Additionally, ginger beer is non-alcoholic, free of artificial flavors and preservatives, making it a healthier alternative to traditional beer or soda.

Meet Ezechi: Ezechi is an urban homesteader in Martinez, California, whose backyard micro-farm is a vibrant oasis teeming with life. From bustling beehives to verdant vegetable patches, every corner of his homestead tells a story of sustainability and self-sufficiency.

Ezechi enjoys tending to his hives, flock of chickens, harvesting and preserving fresh produce, and nurturing a diverse array of plants. Through careful planning and innovative techniques, he has transformed a hillside urban space into a thriving ecosystem that supports not only his family but also the local community.

This potluck and demonstration will be in the home of Tricia and Keith in Livermore. The address will be announced later to those who have signed up.
