Want to learn how to plaster and/or paint walls?  Are you fixing up your own place, or keen to help others?  

Wardell CORE with funding from FRRR and the Rotary Club of Ballin on Richmond are teaming up with Resilient Lismore to offer free workshops to the Wardell and nearby community to develop skills to fix up our buildings.

Plastering Workshop Two-day workshopSaturday 6th & Sunday 7th July10am - 3pm

Learn basic plastering skills: mixing plaster from powder, smoothing over join lines between wall sheets, corners, hole-filling, plus filling gaps next to windows, doors.  Learn about several different types of plaster material to use, how many layers, drying times and sanding so it is ready for paint. Please note that plastering requires some work with arms and hands, but there will be lots of breaks.  

Location will be at a private house.  Participants will be given the address closer to the time. 

  • Please check you can attend the whole workshop and let us know if not, thanks 
  • Tea, coffee, snacks and lunch available
  • Please bring a water bottle
  • Wear covered footwear, hats, layers, clothes to get dirty in
  • Please be on time
  • It's important to let us know asap if you can't make it so we can offer this rare opportunity to another person.
