Autumn in Naarm/Melbourne is a special time, when the city is bathed in golden light, as the heat of summer fades into a more mellow pace. Come and spend the whole afternoon at the glorious Abbotsford Convent, with a mini festival celebrating beautiful, dreaming music. Featuring IKSRE, Clariloops, Zoltan Fecso, Willebrant and Matt Wicking. Each performer will present a solo set, followed by an improvised jam at the end, to cap off the day.
IKSRE
IKSRE (I Keep Seeing Rainbows Everywhere) is the solo moniker of Naarm/Melbourne-based vocalist, violist, producer and sound alchemist, Phoebe Dubar. She combines ethereal vocals with lush strings, bass-forward synths and sound healing instruments with field recordings, to create a unique, ambient, neo-classical pop sound. She has released five albums to date: independently, with Constellation Tatsu (Oakland), Hush Hush Records (Seattle) and Lo Recordings (London), achieving widespread acclaim from blogs, Spotify official playlists and radio (BBC Radio 6, KEXP, RTE, triple j, double j, RRR, PBS-FM). She has also released collaborative albums with international artists on Ambientologist (NL), Past Inside the Present (USA), Stereoscenic (USA) and Polar Seas Recordings (Canada). She has performed at Melbourne Music Week, Wanderlust True North at Melbourne Recital Centre and The Factory, Sydney, JazzLab, Peninsula Hot Springs.

CLARILOOPS
Under the moniker Clariloops, Ruby Lulham weaves clarinet melodies into layered electronic atmospheres, inviting listeners into a meditative journey that bridges the acoustic and digital realms. With a background in classical music and a passion for ambient electronic music, Ruby creates compositions characterised by their tranquil yet dynamic nature. Clariloops has 5 self-released titles to date, as well as collaborations with IKSRE, Six Missing and Garreth Brooke.

ZOLTAN FECSO
Zoltan Fecso is a musician, composer and artist living on Wurundjeri Country. Using prepared instruments, synthesisers, field recordings and electroacoustic techniques, his work aims to bring awareness to acoustic phenomena, connection to place and the many perceptual possibilities of listening. He has performed and presented work in festivals, venues and galleries in Australia and Europe, including Melbourne Recital Centre, JOLT Sonic Arts Festival, Sleepless Festival, Omniversal Hum, Winter Wild Festival, STEIM Amsterdam, Jan Herman Ridderbos Gallery and FestivALT. He has released music with Longform Editions, Oxtail Recordings, Hush Hush Records Whitelab Recordings and Shimmering Moods Records.

WILLEBRANT
Willebrant is the ambient field drone project of Naarm/Melbourne bassist and producer Karl Willebrant. Willebrant creates immersive textures and emotive expanses that allow the listener to conceive a visual experience through the mind's eye, traversing soundscapes and drones utilizing bass guitars, found instruments, synths, and field recordings.
Willebrant has released numerous independent and label recordings, including collaborations with various ambient/electro artists from Europe, the US, India and Australia with local artists such as Black Light Ghost, IKSRE, jazz trumpeter Paul Williamson and contemporary/classical guitarist Ken Murray.

MATT WICKING
Matt Wicking is a powerful singer and award-winning lyricist based in Boon Wurrung Country - and lead singer of The General Assembly. Audiences have described performances as “achingly beautiful”,“divine”, “so powerful and gorgeous!”, “truly incredible” and “an emotional experience". Performing here with long-time collaborator Paul Raine (multi-instrumentalist composer and sound designer), their set will combine an unforgettable voice with lush, layered soundscapes.

Limited seats will be provided for those of you who would like to sit in a more traditional way; otherwise, we encourage you to bring anything you would like to make yourself as comfortable as possible so you can experience the music how you would like to - yoga mat, beanbag, cushions, etc. Be as creative as you like.
These shows take place on the traditional lands of the Wurundjeri people. We pay respects to their Elders and acknowledge their continuing connection to land, waterways and culture.
