Join us for Waste Not, Feast Well: Harvest Dinner — a vibrant evening celebrating seasonal abundance, low-waste cooking, and the people who grow, raise, and cook our food.

Hosted at the beautifully restored Odessa at Leaver’s Hotel in Creswick, this special event brings together 4 local chefs, local food producers, and food lovers for a three-course meal that honours flavour, creativity, and community.

The Menu
Enjoy a lovingly crafted, seasonal low-waste menu prepared by local chefs and cooks including Mark Challis (Tumblers Green), Jason (Charcity), Lena Kuppens, and Rachel Yeo (Happy Scraps). Expect a beautiful showcase of fresh, local produce, much of it generously donated by our region’s farmers and growers.

Why this dinner matters
This event is a fundraiser to support the creation of a permanent Happy Scraps Community Kitchen, a vital project led by food educator Rachel Yeo. Rachel and her team currently deliver community dinners and school lunch programs across the Creswick district, focused on healthy, low-waste, affordable meals. The new kitchen will provide a home base for expanding this work.

In addition, $10 from every ticket sold goes directly to Creswick Connect, a local volunteer-run organisation supporting community, business, events, and sustainability initiatives across the region.
