Wastebusters 25th Birthday - Community Celebration

We’re stoked to be turning 25, and we’d love to celebrate with you!

25 years of real recycling, reuse treasures and zero waste mahi - all thanks to you, our amazing community. Wasties is proof of what a community can do when they come together! Now it’s time to celebrate everything we’ve achieved together and look ahead to what’s next.

Here’s what’s happening on the day:

• Throughout the day, we'll be joined by Night Cat Coffee Bar, Cat Rescue Wānaka's bake sale and Wānaka & District Lions Club's sausage sizzle

• 3pm – cake cutting, speeches, and a few celebration drinks

• A chance to share your ideas for the next 25 years of Wasties

• 25% off across the shop all day

For 25 years, together we’ve kept thousands of tonnes out of landfill, inspired change, and built something iconic. But we’re at a turning point. Our site is stretched to breaking point. It’s time to dream big. Wastebusters 2.0 is our vision for a bigger, better hub that grows with Wānaka, future-proofs our site, and multiplies our impact for the next generation.
