Movie Night: Land of Many Waters
Description
This month’s sustainability film, from Travelwild TV, celebrates Australia’s magnificent river systems, while warning us of the damage caused by our deadly addiction to chemicals. After visiting the North-West, Kimberly and the Daintree, the film takes us on the journey of the Serpent Dreaming, the creation story of the Great Dividing Range, offering a reframe of the ‘dividing’ range as a connector.
Following the film, the panel discussion will focus on local journeys of water. This will be an opportunity to learn about the pragmatics of water operations in the Shire, along with the greater story of water in Eurobodalla – the land of many waters.
Tea, coffee, and biscuits will be provided.
The films are rated PG and are suitable for school-aged children. Children aged 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
