Beginner's Watercolor Workshop: Animals & Pets
Description
Have you always wanted to try watercolor? Join us for a relaxed, beginner-friendly workshop where you'll learn watercolor techniques while creating a painting of an animal you love!
Choose your favorite pet, wild animal, or any animal that inspires you as your subject. I'll guide you through the painting process step-by-step, teaching you practical watercolor techniques that you can continue using long after the workshop.
No previous painting experience is necessary!
🎨 In this workshop, you'll learn:
• Wet-on-wet and wet-on-dry techniques
• How to create smooth washes and layers
• Color mixing and choosing colors for shadows and highlights
• Techniques for creating fur, feathers, and other textures
• How to add splashes, drips, and other watercolor effects
• Finishing techniques to bring your painting to life
We'll start with a few hands-on watercolor exercises so you can get comfortable with the materials and techniques. Then we'll put those skills into practice as you create your animal portrait.
📸 Before the workshop:
After registering, you'll send me 1–2 clear photos of the animal you'd like to paint so that I can sketch it out before you arrive. Your photo will serve as your reference during the workshop, and I'll help you translate it into a watercolor painting.
🎟️ Each ticket includes all materials needed to create one painting, and each participant will take home their finished artwork.
Whether you're painting your beloved dog, a favorite cat, a horse, a bird, a wildlife favorite, or an animal you've simply always admired, this is an opportunity to slow down, experiment with watercolor, and create something uniquely yours.
✨ No experience necessary. Just bring your playful spirit and come ready to paint!
