Term 2 Watercolour Back to Basics PLUS: Becoming Comfortable and Confident

In this follow up from the very popular Back to Basics With Watercolour, Mim will help participants become comfortable and confident in using the medium by reinforcing knowledge with relaxed and fun sessions of guided exploration.

This will be a watercolour course like no other, with a fresh and modern take on exploring some of the ways that watercolour can be utilised. Participants will need to pack a sense of adventure and be up for anything, with a different focus each week.

NOTE: This is a five week course, there will be no class on the Monday of the June long weekend. 

Dates: 26th May and 2nd, 16th, 23rd and 30th June 2025

Time: 10am - 12pm

Kit Required:

• 100% cotton watercolour paper, either Rough or Cold Pressed. 300gsm, equivalent of two full (56cm x 76cm) sheets. 

• Watercolour Paints:
• Split primary set (one warm and one cool of each primary) aka 2x red, 2x yellow, 2x blue
• One or two earth colours (eg, Raw Sienna and Burnt Umber)
• Anything else also goes; bring whatever you want to play with

• Watercolour brushes - a minimum kit of:
• 1 x Mop (size 4 or 6)
• 1 x Round (size between 4-8)
• 1 x Rigger (size between 8-10)
• Small/Tiny brush for fine details
• Anything else also goes - filbert, liner, flat etc.. 

• Watercolour Palette
• Masking Tape and Board
• Spray Bottle
• Pencil
• Towel / table cloth
• Sponge/Rag
• Water container(s)
