Join respected art tutor Yesim Gozukara as she shares her passion for the Watercolour medium. She will demonstrate her original approach to various watercolour techniques in a one-day workshop. Participants will learn how to go beyond traditional watercolour styles to develop visually interesting textural effects, allowing the potential for greater depth and excitement in their own artwork.
Students will be expertly guided to gain confidence to experiment with different watercolour techniques and complete a composition during the workshop. In this welcoming and inclusive class, there will be plenty of opportunities for students to ask questions in a relaxed learning environment.

We are excited to announce the upcoming 9th Solo Watercolour exhibition by multi-award winning artist Yesim Gozukara - “A Natural Perspective - Evoking Textures in Watercolour’. This highly anticipated exhibition will feature a stunning new series of seascapes and landscapes inspired by her recent travels within Australia, the UK, Türkiye and New Zealand.
Yesim’s refined painting style captures the spirit and beauty of these breathtaking vistas through her distinctive use of vivid colour. She keenly observes and celebrates dramatic textural elements found within nature, utilising granulating pigments and the spontaneity of the watercolour medium to great effect. Viewers will delight in the luminosity, drama and technical precision of her compositions in this remarkable new series of works.
About Yesim Gozukara:
Yesim Gozukara is a professional artist and art tutor working from her home studio in Melbourne. Her outstanding work has been featured in eight solo exhibitions including a significant exhibition at the prestigious State Art and Sculpture Museum, Izmir (Türkiye). Her work has been selected and exhibited at numerous group exhibitions including the National Gallery of Victoria and the 50th Anniversary of the Watercolour Society of Victoria (2024). She has received numerous art awards including the Australian Art Excellence- Medallion Award (2022)/AGRA and the Best Watercolour Award-Category under $1,500/Camberwell Rotary Show (2023). She has represented Australia at the International watercolour symposium with Fabriano in Acquarello in Italy annually since 2022.
