Waterfall Photography Workshop
Event description
In our Waterfall Photography Workshop, you'll not only learn the techniques for capturing stunning waterfall images, but you'll also enjoy a hassle-free experience with transfers included from Canberra to the Southern Highlands and back. This workshop is perfect for photographers of all levels looking to enhance their skills in photographing flowing water and the beautiful surrounding landscapes.
We’ll begin by covering the camera settings needed to master long exposure photography, such as adjusting shutter speed, aperture, and ISO to create that silky smooth water effect. You’ll also learn how to use neutral density (ND) filters to control light and achieve the desired flow, even in bright daylight conditions.
Composition will be a key focus, and we’ll guide you through framing your shots to include surrounding elements like rocks, trees, and flowing streams. This will help you create balanced, visually stunning waterfall images. We'll also discuss how to work with the natural light available, whether on a sunny day or in overcast weather, to bring out the best in your images.
Safety is important, especially in slippery or uneven terrain, so we’ll cover tips for navigating these environments to get the best angles without risk.
To make this adventure even easier, transfers to and from the Southern Highlands are included. However, a minimum of 5 bookings is required for the workshop to proceed, so gather your friends and get ready for an inspiring day of photography!
