Watershed Stringband at Langtree Hall
Event description
Watershed Stringband, from Victoria's Central Highlands are comin' down from the mountains to visit Mildura! Come and see them perform at this very special concert at Langtree Hall, on Saturday 2nd November. Venue owner, Barbie Cornell, will kick off the concert at 2pm with a historical talk, followed by a performance from Watershed Stringband, finishing with afternoon tea and a chance for attendees to chat with performers and take in the amazing display of historical memorabilia.
Cat & Clint join Dave and Wendy from The Cartwheels to form Watershed Stringband, featuring red hot fiddle and banjo, dreamy vocal harmonies, snappy guitar picking and juicy double bass. The all-star lineup bring a unique blend of vintage country, from driving Bluegrass and Old Time dance tunes, to Australiana and Western Swing.
The Langtree Hall Museum was Mildura's first public hall built in 1889. It was painstakingly restored by the Cornell family and relocated to 79 Walnut Avenue, in a magnificent double fronted period home. Langtree Hall has been lovingly preserved as a tribute to Mildura's heritage and features an amazing display of historic memorabilia.
