Waterway Walkway Project

We are very excited to announce our new community initiative!

Following the very successful community yarn bombing project in 2022 we are ready to do it all again! This time we will be creating an underwater theme along the walkway at the entrance of the Centre.

As part of the project we will be providing some crochet workshops plus free crafting sessions to work on the project together. Can't make the sessions? That's ok, there are plenty of ways to contribute including making at home. What to make is only limited by your imagination as we create a space with creatures, seaweed and water - items can be crochet, knitted, sewn or created with recycled materials. We have lots of yarn, crochet hooks and knitting needles available from the Centre. Join our Craft n Chat @ YFC facebook group where we will be sharing ideas and patterns.

Our first FREE crafting sessions with free creche are;

• Monday 18 August 11am-1pm

• Thursday 4 September 12.30-2.30pm
