Event description

Waterwise Gardens that increase Biodiversity.

Would you like to have the sort of garden that uses less water and increases the number of native animals around your home? This workshop will teach you how!

During this workshop Shani from Ecoburbia and special guests will show you how to create a water wise garden and share ways to increase biodiversity, wildlife habitat and reduce the urban heat effect. We will cover in detail how to plant native species, and help you plan a verge garden that meets the City of South Perth guidelines. Ways of encouraging wildlife will also be discussed with a demonstration of how to make an insect hotel. Issues such as storm water and bush fire preparedness will also be discussed.

Once you have participated in this workshop you will have everything you need to know to create your own little piece of bushland.

This workshop is presented by Ecoburbia and sponsored by the City of South Perth.
