Want to learn more about digital accessibility? Take a deep dive into the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA.

The WCAG Deep Dive training is held over 3 sessions, each Wednesday from 10am-12pm AEST for 3 weeks starting on 4 June 2025.

Session dates

  • 11 June 2025, 10am-12pm
  • 18 June 2025, 10am-12pm

Attendees are expected to attend all 3 sessions.

Overview

This course will walk through the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA, identifying patterns for implementing criteria, common examples of issues, and antipatterns to avoid. Legal requirements and best practices for industry will be discussed. Demonstrations through use of assistive technologies and adaptive patterns will be performed on example code bases.

  • Understand the impact to users with different disabilities for each of the WCAG criteria. 
  • Apply WCAG principles to practical real-world examples. 
  • Identify common accessibility issues and how to remediate in accordance with WCAG 
  • Know legal requirements and what is considered best practice.  
  • Correlate accessibility features back to the WCAG Principals and criteria.
