About the band
Victoria Vigenser (NZ) and Lindsay Martin (AU) are real-life troubadours and masters in the art of connection. Together they interweave soulful vocals, violin, guitar and driving rhythms to form a singular musical voice. Their sound is equal parts contemp-folk, alt-country and acoustic-pop, but no words quite capture their rare musical kinship or the heartfelt way they connect with audiences.
With rave reviews across the UK, Europe, Australia and NZ it’s no wonder they've become international festival favourites. Vigenser’s gift for turning clichés into meaningful metaphors combines beautifully with Martin’s otherworldly ability to pull a swathe of emotions out of one set of strings. For this special show they are joined by internationally renowned cellists and multi-instrumentalists Rachel Johnston (NZ) and Trent Arkleysmith (AU) – making We Mavericks a truly formidable force.
“Simply wow!” – Die Rheinpfalz, DE
“…an undoubted masterclass in music delivery and songwriting.” – Fatea Magazine, UK
