We’re Not Okay is an emo-themed adult play party and fundraiser celebrating the alternative, the confessional, and the authentic parts of ourselves that are stifled by the demands of adult life.

Immerse yourself in an afternoon of roleplay, desire, and self-expression soundtracked by iconic 2000s emo anthems, featuring a live rope performance and amazing facilities to jumpstart all the afternoon debauchery!

💖 Where Does Your Money Go?

Once core venue hire and production overheads are covered, 100% of profits from ticket sales go straight to our fundraiser—providing life-affirming medical care and physical therapy for three LGBTQIA+ community members living with disabilities.

Every dollar of profit raised directly funds essential clinical appointments and hands-on therapy sessions to bring meaningful, lasting improvements to their daily mobility and quality of life.

Plus, a raffle will be held on the night - spicy and sexy toys up for grabs!

🤝 Consent & Community Care

• Clear Guidelines: Comprehensive consent practices and house rules will be emailed to all ticket holders prior to the event.

• Consent Angels & Facilitators: Experienced angels and facilitators will be active throughout the venue all night to ensure everyone feels comfortable, supported, and safe.

• Hosted by Let’s Make a Scene: Let’s Make a Scene is an educational and consulting collective specialising in 18+ play parties and cultivating intentional spaces for neurodivergent and queer communities.

What is included with entry?
Full access to all Pineapple Bar facilities:

• Change rooms with secure lockers

• Ample toilets across levels and double showers

• Multiple open play spaces and private rooms

• Complimentary amenities: clean towels, soap, shampoo, filtered drinking water, condoms, lubricant, massage oil, deodorant, and mints.

What is the phone and privacy policy?
Discretion is strictly enforced:

• Phones and cameras must be placed in a locker before entering the main bar and play spaces.

• Photos/videos are only permitted in the ground floor reception/lobby area, and only with the explicit consent of everyone in frame.

• What happens at the venue stays at the venue.

What should I wear?

• Arrival: Wear your best alternative, emo, or smart/stylish party wear (dressy casual / chic / scene).

• Ground Floor: Fully clothed at all times.

• Upstairs Play Areas: Guests typically dress down to lingerie, undergarments, or sleepwear in the change rooms. (Standard full-length pyjamas, morph suits, and onesies are not permitted).

Is the venue accessible?

• Ground Floor: Fully accessible via wheelchair, walking sticks, and most mobility aids (includes the main bar, accessible amenities, and social spaces).

• First Floor: Accessible via stairs only.

• If you have specific accessibility questions or requirements, please contact us ahead of time or speak with our angels on arrival.

Is there alcohol available?
Pineapple Bar operates a full-service, licensed bar serving cocktails, beer, wine, premixes, and non-alcoholic drinks. Please drink responsibly—active, enthusiastic consent requires clear heads.

Do I have to engage in play?
No. There is zero expectation to play, undress, or watch. You are completely welcome to socialise, enjoy the music and performances, connect with community, or just hang out. You set your own boundaries.

Where can I park?

• Free all day parking is typically available in surrounding street as well as along City Road, Montague Street, and Ferrars Street (north of City Road).

• Please avoid parking on residential side streets to respect the venue's neighbours. Rideshare and public transport are strongly recommended.
