    Hosts and Panellists


    Dr Joyce Wu (she/her) is a Senior Lecturer and Convener of Global Development at the School of Social Sciences. As the Deputy Editor of the Development in Practice journal, Joyce supports authors instead of being a power-tripping gatekeeper of publication opportunities.

    Dr Deborah Barros Leal FariasΒ (she/her) is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Social Sciences, where she teachers Politics and International Relations. She is the current coordinator for UNSW's Globalisation and Governance Network and ADA's Wellbeing Co-Champion

    Jan Breckenridge (she/her) is a Professor and Head of the School of Social Sciences and the Co-Convener of the UNSW Gendered Violence Research Network, UNSW.Β  She is also a Research Fellow of the UNSW Australian Human Rights Institute (AHRI).Β 

    Madhav Raman (he/him) is Engagement Officer – Health Promotions within the UNSW Health Promotions Unit. Madhav is actively involved in creating and managing programs to improve the well-being of the student community. Madhav Raman completed a dual Master’s Degree in Public Health and Health Management (Extension) at the School of Population Health (SPH), UNSW.
