Wear it Purple Day Gala - Fri 22 Aug
Event description
Wear It Purple Day Gala – Celebrating 15 Years of Bold Voices and Bright Futures
This year marks 15 incredible years of Wear It Purple, a youth-led, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to creating safe, supportive, and empowering environments for LGBTQIA+ young people across Australia. Founded in response to the alarming rates of bullying, discrimination, and mental health struggles faced by queer youth, Wear It Purple Day is an annual celebration held on the last Friday of August. It’s a call to action — encouraging schools, workplaces, and communities to stand together in solidarity, visibility, and love for LGBTQIA+ youth.
To honour this milestone, we invite you to the Wear It Purple Day Gala — an evening of celebration, performance, and powerful storytelling.
