Weaving Wonder into Everyday Life with Toddlers
Parenting Course with Kate Hammond
A practical, weekly class to effectively parent a toddler or very young child.
Join this online class to learn how to parent and support the natural development of your child using insights from Rudolf Steiner’s work. Each week, there will be a short presentation and community discussion on topics such as smoother transitions, how to effectively talk with your young child, setting boundaries, encouraging independent play, the power of ritual, and leading a rhythmic life.
Topics:
Week 1—Overview of Toddler Development and Parenting
Week 2—Foundations of a Daily Rhythm: Routines and Rituals
Week 3—Connecting with Your Child: Tantrums, Activity, and Keeping Boundaries
Week 4—Transitions: Helping Your Child Stay with the Flow
Week 5—Communicating with Your Child: Using Movement and Words to Greater Effect
Week 6—Sleeping, Eating, and Toilet Learning
After the class has been held, you are welcome to stay on the call to join “The Circle of Support.” This informal half hour is a time to chat and get to know each other better.
May 11 & 18; June 1-22, 2025 on Sundays (6 classes) | 11am-12:30pm PT
Cost: $250 per family (up to two caregivers)
