Event description

Multicultural Art Therapy Program – Culture & Connection

Join us for a unique four-week art therapy program that celebrates multiculturalism through creativity. Designed to foster self-reflection, cultural exploration, and collective expression, this program provides a safe and supportive space for individuals from diverse backgrounds to connect through art. Places are limited, register your interest now!

Who Can Join?

We invite all people to take part in this program and share their unique cultural perspectives through art. No prior art experience is needed—just an open mind and a willingness to explore. Art therapy is about the process, not the outcome, and can help you relax, focus, express yourself, and connect with others.

What to Expect

Each week builds upon the last, guiding participants through a journey of:
🎨 Personal reflection – Exploring cultural identity through creative expression
🎨 Community connection – Sharing stories and perspectives through group discussions
🎨 Collaborative art-making – Creating a collective artwork that reflects shared values

Light refreshments, tea and coffee provided.

Art Therapist - Alina Camiller

What makes 44spoons' work so unique is that each painting is created using spoons, rather than brushes. Acrylic paint is dripped and splattered across raw canvas, glass or acrylic using a variety of metal spoons. The effect is playful, bold and textural.

Over the past few years, my style has varied from large scale abstract works, to smaller 3D whimsical scenes and animals (wild, super and mischievous) to now where I'm playing with large scale. My subject matter may be constantly changing but the technique has remained the same...and I'm having a ball.

In 2022, I graduated with my Masters of Art Therapy and am currently facilitating sessions with women at WAGEC in Redfern. I also love fascinating workshops with kids and teenagers.
