Event description

Join Steven Moe and special guests Jenny Gill and Craig Fisher to break down Budget from a Charities perspective.

Did you notice the charities changes proposed were not there? It doesn't mean there will not be change in future though - we just spoke with IRD and will give an update on where things are at.

In particular we will focus in on follow up of the recent Taxation and the not-for-profit sector Officials issues paper and consultation and budget and take chance to:

  • Reflect on the engagement we had and 900 submissions put in

  • Raise awareness that this is a pause rather than an end to consideration of tax changes

  • Discuss the key themes raised in submissions

  • Call out and kill misconceptions

  • Update on likely next steps

  • Alert to FBT and other consultations

  • Reiterate the ongoing and increasing importance of all entities in the sector clearly communicating their impact and value (Statement of Service Performance)

  • Talk about the budget generally re likely impacts on the sector
