Charities and post budget tax position & discussion
Event description
Join Steven Moe and special guests Jenny Gill and Craig Fisher to break down Budget from a Charities perspective.
Did you notice the charities changes proposed were not there? It doesn't mean there will not be change in future though - we just spoke with IRD and will give an update on where things are at.
In particular we will focus in on follow up of the recent Taxation and the not-for-profit sector Officials issues paper and consultation and budget and take chance to:
Reflect on the engagement we had and 900 submissions put in
Raise awareness that this is a pause rather than an end to consideration of tax changes
Discuss the key themes raised in submissions
Call out and kill misconceptions
Update on likely next steps
Alert to FBT and other consultations
Reiterate the ongoing and increasing importance of all entities in the sector clearly communicating their impact and value (Statement of Service Performance)
Talk about the budget generally re likely impacts on the sector
