Webinar: Communication Skills for Massage Therapists

Client interactions represent a healthcare practitioners mix of soft and hard skills. In a Remedial Massage setting, hard skills may be considered the therapists massage skills and techniques. Clinical soft skills are how the Remedial Massage therapist interacts and engages with the client. Both soft and hard skills contribute to a massage treatment and the clients broader experience with their health.

This online workshop presents some ideas on how Remedial Massage therapists can develop their clinical soft skills in ways that support their clients. The workshop covers topics such as the therapeutic alliance, therapeutic language, motivational interviewing, health coaching, health literacy and person-centred care. The 90-minute online workshop is a mix of theory, case studies and professional reflection.

This workshop is for Remedial Massage therapists who are looking to develop new skills when interacting with clients and looking for new ways to support their clients.
