Event description

Are you a Volunteer Coordinator in South Australia supporting people who have been diagnosed with a life-limiting illness or who are caring for someone at end of life?

The HELP App is a free tool that coordinates practical support for people at end of life from their own social network. It’s a simple, proven way to keep people supported and connected when they need it most.

HELP networks are active all around the country and volunteers are playing a vital role in introducing the App to patients, families and carers.

Information Session will include:

  • benefits of introducing the HELP App, including the research and evidence of HELP
  • what resources / tools will be available to the Volunteer when they are visiting a client
  • case studies: real stories of the impact of HELP networks from the research
  • identifying the right volunteers for this role
  • volunteer training outline including ongoing support from the HELP Team at La Trobe University
  • Q&A session

Once you register, you will be sent a link (from Gather Group) to join a Test Network on the HELP App for practical training. It would be beneficial for you to accept the link so you can see how the App works before the session however it is not compulsory.

We look forward to seeing you there!
