Oncology Acupuncture Support

Oncology acupuncture is an emerging field which offers the acupuncturist an opportunity to help patients with cancer, as well as, those who recovered from cancer.

Increasing research evidence in acupuncture for cancer care has prompted more cancer patients seeking acupuncture service. However, clinicians are often ill-equipped with limited knowledge and skills to effectively apply acupuncture in an oncologic setting with confidence.

In this webinar, we will articulate specific acupuncture techniques for commonly presenting symptoms and identify risks and contraindications of using acupuncture in cancer patients.

Learners will gain a set of knowledge and skills needed to successfully apply oncology acupuncture for cancer care.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this workshop, attendees will be able to –

  • Use the skills and knowledge gained to effectively treat common presenting complaints of cancer patients.
  • Recognize risk factors associated with practice of oncology acupuncture.
