Event description

Webinar: Responding Well to People with 'Challenging Behaviour'

About the Webinar

This webinar is designed as an introduction to the concepts that Ann covers in her full day workshop on the same topic. Ann will encourage webinar participants to understand what might influence people’s behaviour and to consider the situations which people with ‘challenging behaviour’ can find themselves. Participants will also be asked to consider how their own responses can impact on the person.

Topic covered include:

• Defining and describing challenging behaviour
• Communication and its role in behaviour
• Understanding our part in the behaviour of others
• Avoiding punishments and developing proactive approaches

Who Should Attend?

This webinar will be of interest to anyone supporting a person labelled as challenging – whether as a parent, family member, friend, or in a work role.

We encourage participants to join the webinar live as Ann will be available to answer questions, however if this is not possible for you, the event will be recorded and available to view online for 7 days.

What do I need to participate?

Using online platforms to hold events is still fairly new to CRU. We will be using the webinar platform Zoom Webinars. To participate you will need:

  • a computer, tablet or smart phone with internet access
  • speakers/sound

Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns about your ability to participate.
