(Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis)
 HTMA

Part 1: Introduction to HMTA

Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA) is one of the most widely used function medicine screening tools used by complimentary and integrated health care practitioners today.

In this module you will learn how HTMA can benefit your patients by guiding you towards more informed and focused nutritional treatment protocols.

This module is designed as an introduction to HTMA so you have a full understanding of the test itself, a full review of the information provided in the results report and how to incorporate this screening tool into your clinic and consultations.

Part 2 – Mineral Mastery

In module two we will delve deeper in to the key essential minerals and be introduced to additional minerals that support health.

We will learn why these minerals are fundamental to maintaining good health and how illness and disease can take hold when our bodies are experiencing a deficiency or toxicity of any of these important nutrients.

We will discuss the biochemical relationships between these minerals, how they are synergistic to one another and how others will antagonise each other and compete for absorption and utilisation in the digestive system and at a cellular level.

The focus of this session is to support you as a practitioner to feel confident in managing layered nutritional therapy and providing optimal dosages for individual patient needs.

Part 3 – Toxic Metals and Targeted Nutritional Chelation

In this module we will discuss toxic and heavy metals in depth.
Toxic metals can create havoc in our biological systems, they can create inflammation, oxidative damage, nutrients deficiencies and are often implicated in the onset of illness and disease.

HTMA gives us great insight into a patients exposure to heavy metals, and their ability to detoxify these toxic metals.

We will review how these toxic metals are interacting with our essential minerals and possibly creating deficiencies and imbalances despite good nutritional supplementation and dietary changes.
