Webinar: The People's Blockade of the World's Largest Coal Port

Last year, 170 people were arrested for blockading Newcastle Coal Port's shipping channel with kayaks while thousands more supported them from the beach, in what was the largest act of civil disobedience in Australia's history. Rising Tide, the movement of ordinary Australians called by extraordinary times behind this Blockade, is now gearing up for a bigger and bolder People's Blockade of the World's Largest Coal Port this year. 

Join us for an online screening of Rising Tide's new documentary 'Turning the Ship' about last year's Blockade, followed by a panel discussion with Rising Tide organisers about this year's Blockade and how you can get involved in Australia's fastest growing climate movement.
