Webinar Thirty: The journey of Kua

This event has passed Register

Event description

In this impact2020 webinar meet Darcy Small and Brody Smith, Co-Founders of Kua - an Australian social enterprise that does world-positive coffee for
workplaces.

Kua buys green coffee beans direct from smallholder farmers in Uganda and uses all profits to mobilise these growers on the journey to climate resilience.

Since launching in January 2019, Kua has sold more than 150,000 cups of Ugandan coffee. By collecting all the spent coffee grounds and redistributing them to local community gardens, Kua has also saved three tonnes of used coffee from ending up in landfill.

Darcy and Brody are also tutors in CSI UNSW’s undergraduate course, COMM1000 - Creating Social Change: From Innovation to Impact. They both completed the subject while they were studying engineering at UNSW which ultimately changed the course of their careers and eventually led them to become teachers of the same subject.

Join us for this impact2020 webinar and learn more about the journey of these up and coming change makers!

Please note:
This webinar starts at 1:00pm (AEST) and registrations will close an hour before the webinar starts.

The webinar will be recorded and emailed to attendees in a few weeks. Later in the year all impact2020 webinar recordings will be publicly available.

This impact2020 webinar is a free event presented by the Centre for Social Impact (CSI).
