Event description

Volunteering on Election Campaigns as a Public Servant - Everything You Wanted to Know But Were Too Scared to Ask…

Are you a public servant interested in getting involved in a political campaign in the next federal election? Perhaps you’re concerned about what you can - and can’t - do as a public servant? The good news is that as a public servant you absolutely have the right to be involved in election campaigns. But we understand you might be hesitant or have some questions - please join us at this webinar with Kieran Pender, Honorary Senior Lecturer at the ANU College of Law and leading expert on employee free speech, to find out more.

Kieran Pender is an Australian lawyer, writer and academic, based in Canberra. He writes for The Guardian and other publications, including a monthly public sector employment law column in the Canberra Times. Kieran is a leading expert on whistleblower protections and employee free speech.

This event is hosted jointly with proACT and Voices for Canberra.
