Webinars: Transform learning in Science with Pearson for the Australian Curriculum v9.0

Event description

About the webinar

We’re launching something exciting for the Australian Curriculum V9.0! Pearson Secondary Teaching Hub and the corresponding Student Companions are your one-stop-shop for purposeful teaching and learning.

In this session you will get a sneak peek at our new, one-of-a-kind digital product — Pearson Secondary Teaching Hub — a digital platform designed to simplify teaching and energise learning. Teaching Hub offers a flexible collection of digital topics and lessons and is complemented with the corresponding Student Companions. Our content has been written specifically to the Australian Curriculum V9.0 (and mapped to the current V8.4) by experienced teachers from all over Australia.

In this session we will:

  • share a high-level overview of the changes in the Australian Curriculum B9.0 Science for Years 7-10.
  • for Victorian attendees we’ll be able to give you our take on the new Victorian Curriculum for Science, if released.
  • demonstrate how Teaching Hub promotes student engagement utilising both guided and independent practice with opportunities for immediate feedback and updates on student progress.
  • outline the relationship between print and digital resources to give you the flexibility to provide the perfect mix of online and offline learning to minimise distraction and maximise learning time.
  • There will be time for a chat-based Q&A at the end.

Two dates to choose from:

  • Thursday 18 July 2024, 4:30pm (AEST)
  • Thursday 1 August 2024, 4:30pm (AEST)

If you can't attend, webinars will be recorded for sharing after the event.
