Created by writers, for writers - a Seven Step Journey

We take a wholistic approach to your writer's journey -  supporting you from the very beginning of an idea, all the way through to publishing and marketing your stories.

All Seven stages of writing are taught at Masterclasses, workshops, panel discussions and case studies, by seasoned professionals, authors, coaches and experts.

To gather the collective best minds across New Zealand's publication industry - during Covid-19 lessons were filmed at much loved venues like Olveston Historic Home in Dunedin, PetriDish Community Centre, the Rotorua Library and Arts Village.

Thee/Wee Write Aways offer Creative Writing Programme.

We developed a seven step programme that breaks the writer's journey into seven manageable pieces.

  • Steps 1 - 4 form "The Great Write Inn Module" and is for writers with an idea, but unsure how to get started on the story writing process. We cover who, where, why and how. We help you focus on creating a short story for a start, to help you with an achievable milestone. The content is genre-friendly.
  • Steps 5 - 7 form the "PublishME Module" and focus on editing, formatting, printing, publishing, self-publishing and marketing.

Learn from the best creative writing tutors, award-winning authors and book selling experts.

Book coaching sessions with our experienced creative writing team and receive Masterclasses and creative writing exercises, specific to your stage of writing.

With access to specially recorded Masterclasses from multi-award winning writers Catherine Chidgey, Fiona Farrell, Diane Brown and Emma Neale to Tom E Moffatt (funny guy and self-publishing expect) and world-building expert Vicki Arnott as well as international best seller sensations San & Oia Eng - pick and chose when and how to enjoy your retreat with some of best authors and experts in New Zealand's literary landscape.

Here's our lesson plan - starting from an idea, all the way through to publishing and marketing your books.

It's like a smorgasbord, pick and choose only the sessions that interest you, to be delivered to your Writer's Room, on the day you are there.

We prepare an itemised itinerary, complete with coaching, replays, creative writing exercises.

Optionally book and join Rotorua-based writer's community on Wednesday afternoons, at one of our "Wee Write Inns" and/or "The Mad Hatter's Natter", social functions.
