Urban Weed Wise Workshop
Event description
Ever looked at a plant in your backyard or local park and thought, weed or native? Are you keen to learn more about weeds in our local environment? Do you want learn about how weed management fits into your land management goals?
Well, we have the event for you! Join WULN and experienced bush regenerator and educator, Sue Brunskill for our Urban Weed Wise Workshop. The workshop will equip you with information and skills to identify and manage weeds on your patch. You’ll have the opportunity to engage with Sue, Wodonga Urban Landcare Network staff and like-minded people to chat all things weeds.
The workshop will start at Felltimber Community Centre for a theory based session to run through the fundamentals of weed identification, spread, resources, control and management. We’ll then head out into the field at Veronica Egan Park to put the mornings learning into practice and discuss real world application.
