About the documentary: In My Blood It Runs

This compelling film follows 10-year-old Dujuan, an Aboriginal boy growing up in Alice Springs, as he navigates the challenges of school, family, and cultural identity.

Told through Dujuan's own words, In My Blood It Runs offers an unfiltered look into the strengths and struggles of First Nations communities. It raises important questions about education, justice, and what it truly means to listen to Indigenous voices.

This is more than just a film — it's a chance to reflect, learn, and be part of the conversation around truth-telling and reconciliation in Australia.

Why attend?

  • Deepen your understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander experiences
  • Join the conversation about reconciliation and change
  • Connect with peers

Whether you're new to Reconciliation Week or have been part of the movement for years, this event offers a space for awareness, respect, and action.

All staff and students welcome. Come with an open mind and heart.

Bean bags and blankets provided to keep you toasty!
