Welcome to Nowhere is returning next February for its annual music and arts festival! Tickets will be available on 11th October at 6pm.
Te Whanganui-a-Tara based Eyegum Music Collective are pleased to announce Welcome to Nowhere, after a disappointing COVID cancellation earlier this year.
The next installment of the 2.5 day indie festival will be held over Waitangi weekend, 3-6 February 2023, at a beautiful, secluded undisclosed location near Whanganui. Eyegum has curated an eclectic and exciting programme featuring a broad range of music, poetry, performance and visual art produced by some Aotearoa’s most talented and exciting independent artists.
Festival goers will spend the weekend in a verdant idyll, surrounded by bush, birds and new friends. On arriving at Nowhere, you will find a festival experience that is entirely unique and a community atmosphere that is welcoming and open. Choose between dancing to incredible musicians from all around the motu (and further abroad), listening to award winning poets and comedians or taking a dip in the swimming hole which sits sheltered in a limestone ravine. Attendees can immerse themselves in innovative art installations or watch theatre performed with the rolling green hills of the Manawatu as a backdrop.
Now an integral fixture within the local alternative music and creative scene, Eyegum continues to work tirelessly to build and improve on previous years. In doing so, they aim to make Welcome to Nowhere 2023 the best little festival on offer this summer to those who are willing to make the trip.
