Welcoming Community Showcase

We’d like to invite you to our upcoming Showcase for the Welcoming Community program an event which will be an opportunity for you to:

1. Meet our team and ask questions about the program

2. Learn more about the Learning Circles and what kinds of topics we’ll explore

3. Connect with some of the community partners who are supporting the program

4. Find out how to take part in a way that suits you

5. Decide if the program is the right fit for you – there will be no pressure to commit on the day

🗓 Showcase details
When: Thursday 7 August
Time: 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM
Where: Salthouse Community Centre in Braddon (in-person) and online via Microsoft Teams
Cost: Free

In-person places for the Showcase are limited, but there is unlimited online access for those who would like to join remotely.

We’ll also share details about the first Learning Circle session, scheduled to begin on Thursday 14 August. We’ve had a strong response so far and while places in the full program are limited, we’ll do our best to include everyone who would benefit — especially those who are feeling isolated or disconnected.

We’d love to extend an invite to our special Showcase event. The Showcase will be an opportunity to:

• Hear more about the Welcoming Community Program and how it supports participants to build confidence, connection and self-advocacy 

• Meet others involved in the project – including community organisations, participants, and facilitator

• Explore how your service might contribute or benefit from involvement

• Celebrate inclusion in action!

If you’re unable to join but would still like to be part of the Showcase, we’d love to share a short overview of your service or offering. You’re welcome to email us:

• A short blurb (2–5 sentences) introducing your service

• Any relevant opportunities for participants (e.g. programs, social groups, volunteering, inclusive events)

• Why you're involved or how you’ll be supporting the project

• We’ll collate and share these with attendees on the day and in follow-up materials.
