Welcoming Manaaki Village 2024

Kia ora,

I would like to invite your community/organisation to be part of the Welcoming Manaaki Village on Saturday 14 September at Hall B Claudelands Events Centre from 10am to 5pm.

Our local hapuu (Te Haa o te Whenua o Kirikiriroa) are partnering with us to showcase Maaori performances at the event.

The Welcoming Manaaki Village is where our communities can showcase in one place, not only dance and other performances but also other aspects of culture such as clothing, art, fabric and other cultural items that you want to share with the wider community and that other groups might also find interesting. Performances will be on stage and other cultural items will be set up in assigned spaces within the hall. We will also have a limited number of food stalls because what is culture without food, this will be organised separately.
