Event description

As the days gets longer and warmer, everywhere we look nature unwinds out of hibernation and so do we. Just as nature comes to life, we too feel the rising energy of Spring. A season of growth and renewal. Eastern Medical systems have always emphasized the importance of adjusting our diets and lifestyles to harmonize with the changing seasons. Bringing us into balance and good health.

However the world we live in has a way of disconnecting us from ourselves, from each other, from our environment and from our true essence. We live in a society that rewards consistency and productivity above all else. 

So let this be an invitation and a reminder to take a pause and to listen to the subtle shifts felt in the body.. Join me and other amazing humans for a day of Spring Themed nourishment as we equip ourselves with practices and knowledge to support our bodies, and those we love through this seasonal shift.

According to the 5 element theory in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) the Wood element and it's corresponding  organs (the Liver and Gallbladder) govern the smooth flow of Qi (Chi- energy), emotional clarity, and detoxification. Spring is a crucial time to nourish these organs that supports our Qi. If we don’t take this opportunity we could get sick, struggle with anxiety or restlessness as our body adjusts to keep up with the shift in pace.

So if this gets you curious please come and join us! We will get comfy while exploring Ancient Eastern wisdom and practices that are accessible to integrate into your life. We will drink tea in ceremony, connect over delicious food, make a herbal concoction that you can brew at home, learn to give as well as receive massage and unwind our bodies through gentle movement. The day has been curated to deeply nourish you in your body, mind and spirit. All the details from the Tea, to the food, to the sensory elements have been crafted with intentionality.

You will Learn:

  • How to support your health as the season of Spring approaches

  • A mini massage flow + key acupressure points you can use to impress your loved ones

  • Foundational concepts of Eastern Medical systems

  • How to develop a deeper connection to your body

Date: Saturday 30th August

 

Time: 11am - 4pm (Please arrive a few minutes earlier for a prompt start)

 

Location: The Loft (located in East Fremantle. The address will be supplied to attendees via email)

 

Parking: There is free street parking

 

WHAT TO BRING

  • Wear comfy layers that you can stretch in

  • Pillows and blanket or anything else you need to sit on the floor and feel comfortable

  • A water bottle

  • A pen + journal/notepad

  • A plate of food to share (This is optional as there will be lunch provided but can you really have too many snacks? There will be a kitchen we can use to heat food up if required)

Low income tickets are available for those feeling the financial squeeze, and if this is still out of your budget please reach out to me and we can discuss options.
