Welcoming tours 2025 (Tour 1 to the city public spaces and facilities)

This tour 1 (Part 1) is one of the four welcoming tour programme facilitated by Shama for people who want to explore more about Hamilton's public, cultural and natural spaces and community services around Hamilton. It is also a chance for newcomers to connect with the Community and build lifelong friendships. "Let's Feel at Home, Settle in, and Embrace the Heartbeat of Our City"

The programme for the welcoming tour (Part 1) are below. 

Tour 1 (Friday 2 May 2025)  to the City Public spaces and facilities

Meet at Shama at 10am

10:10 am – 10:30am: Walking to and meeting at Hamilton City Council

10:30am – 11:00am: Meeting with HCC people to hear about their services and policies (like the units of Hamilton Gardens, Hamilton Zoo, Water world, Waste management, ect…)

11:00am – 11:50: Visiting City library and hearing the library services, making library cards (bring ID and proof of address if you want to make library card on the same day).

12:00am – 12:40pm: Visiting the museum and talking with the Museum staff

12:40pm – 13:40pm: Shared Picnic lunch at the riverside park (Please pack your ethnic food to enjoy with us in a shared pinic lunch)
