Associate Professor Tracy Woodroffe
Associate Professor Tracy Woodroffe (Charles Darwin University), a Warumungu and Luritja educator and researcher, will share insights from her work on Indigenous education, cultural responsiveness and Aboriginal teacher pathways. Drawing on community-informed approaches and Indigenous perspectives, Tracy will discuss how strong cultural foundations, meaningful relationships and strengths-based practices contribute to student engagement, belonging, success and leadership aspirations. Her presentation highlights practical strategies for embedding cultural responsiveness across university systems and services while supporting students to maintain strong cultural identities.
Associate Professor Samantha Owen
Associate Professor Samantha Owen (Curtin University) will present insights from the Amplified Equity project conducted in collaboration with University of Sydney colleagues. This innovative research investigates digitally enabled personalised "nudge" initiatives designed to improve equity students' experiences, engagement and success outcomes. The project explores how tailored, timely communication and support can help universities better respond to students' individual circumstances and strengthen pathways to achievement.
