Hello international students and welcome to Well Fed at Study Melbourne! 

Just Food Collective's Well Fed: A Student Food Project is joining up with Study Melbourne in 2025 to provide free food and community connection to international students!

What is Well Fed: A Student Food Project?

Well Fed is a big project funded by the City of Melbourne, VicHealth and now Study Melbourne. Well Fed aims to support students with a place to connect, eat well and improve their food security through an ongoing series of food activities, advocacy, and future planning.

The Well Fed model has four distinct components and key interventions:

1. We supply students with free food that's joyful, nourishing and delicious 
2. We hire student interns and induct volunteers to create a network of friends who can gain work experience 
3. We raise awareness of student food security through localised university campaigns and state-wide advocacy  
4. We create free programs and educational tools for students to learn cooking, eating and growing skills 

What food will be at Well Fed @ Study Melbourne?
We like to switch up our menus every week (Patrick and Savannah - the project coordinators - are chefs after all!) and we employ student interns and have amazing volunteers working with us too! Well Fed is like coming to a free cafe, hanging out with your friends and making new ones, and importantly eating great food! We will also have grocery items like fresh fruit and veg and pantry staples.

This event is free but registration is essential. Plus, so we can keep up with food waste and so other students don't miss out, please cancel your ticket 24 hours prior if you are unable to come!
