Well-Seasoned: A Great Lake Lunch

As part of Tasmania's Seniors Month, Eat Well Tasmania invites you to enjoy a delicious day out at the iconic Great Lake Hotel - celebrating healthy ageing, friendship and the incredible produce that makes Tasmania so special.

Join us for a day of warm hospitality, delicious Tasmanian food and local stories. The Great Lake Hotel may be one of Tasmania's coldest destinations, it offers one of the warmest welcomes.

Good food has a remarkable way of bringing people together. It starts conversations, strengthens connections and creates lasting memories, reminding us that some of life's richest moments are found in something as simple as sharing a meal.

You'll be welcomed with a warming cup of Tasmanian spiced apple juice, from the new Southern Bliss apples grown by R&R Smith, before settling in to enjoy a hearty lunch showcasing fresh Tasmanian ingredients and comforting seasonal flavours, created by Tasmanian chefs Kirsten Bacon and Ellie Bacon.

Throughout the afternoon you'll have the opportunity to meet Kirsten and Ellie, hear ideas on making nutritious meals simple and affordable to practical kitchen tips, cooking shortcuts, ingredient swaps and ways to get more flavour and goodness onto the plate.

Great Lake Hotel owner James will also share what makes this unique highland pub such a treasured destination, along with stories of the people, landscape and exciting future of one of Tasmania's most iconic venues.

Whether you're travelling from nearby or making a special day trip with friends or family, this is an opportunity to experience the warmth of country hospitality, enjoy exceptional Tasmanian food and celebrate ageing surrounded by great people in one of Tasmania's most memorable locations.

Transport: Transport to and from the Great Lake Hotel is currently your own arrangement. *

*Transport We understand that getting to Miena can be a challenge, particularly for those travelling from Hobart, Launceston and surrounding areas. Eat Well Tasmania is working with transport operators to explore the possibility of arranging bus transport from major centres. If transport options become available, we will provide further information to ticket holders as soon as possible. Please note that bus transport is not currently included in the ticket price and is not guaranteed to be available.

Ticket purchases
By purchasing a ticket to Well-Seasoned: A Great Lake Lunch, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Please check the event details carefully before purchasing your ticket.

Ticket price
Tickets are $30 per person and include the event experience, lunch, welcome drink and take-home gift bag as outlined in the event description. Additional beverages and any other purchases at the venue are at the attendee's own cost.

Dietary requirements
Please provide any dietary requirements or allergies when booking. We will make every reasonable effort to accommodate dietary requirements where possible. Please contact Eat Well Tasmania as soon as possible if your dietary needs are particularly complex or have changed after booking.

Cancellations and refunds
Tickets may be cancelled and refunded up to 7 days before the event. Refund requests received less than 7 days before the event will generally not be eligible for a refund, except where required under the Australian Consumer Law or at the discretion of Eat Well Tasmania.

If the event is cancelled by Eat Well Tasmania, ticket holders will be contacted and offered a refund or other appropriate arrangement.

Event changes
Eat Well Tasmania reserves the right to make reasonable changes to the event program, speakers, menu or other arrangements where circumstances outside our control require it. We will communicate any significant changes to ticket holders where possible.

Weather and travel conditions
The Great Lake region can experience variable and cold weather conditions. Attendees are responsible for making their own travel arrangements and should consider weather and road conditions when planning their journey. If you are travelling to Miena, please allow sufficient time and take appropriate precautions for the conditions.

Personal responsibility
Attendees participate in the event at their own discretion and are responsible for their personal belongings and personal safety. Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law.

Photography and filming
Photography and filming may take place during the event for Eat Well Tasmania's communications and promotional purposes. If you do not wish to be photographed or filmed, please let an event organiser know on arrival.
