JOIN US on World Health Day for the inaugural meeting of the Wellbeing of tEachers and Leaders in schooLs (WELL) Node where teachers, school leaders, researchers, policymakers, and community members come to discuss how we can support teacher and school leader wellbeing.

We have a line-up of fantastic panellists who will bring diverse perspectives, expertise and experiences on teacher and school leader wellbeing. 

We invite you to join in the discussion to shape how you'd like WELL to help in supporting teacher and school leader wellbeing in our communities. 

Please join us for light refreshments afterwards.

Transport
The Susan Wakil Health Building is accessible by public transport. Paid parking is available at the nearby New Law Building Carpark (Carpark 1). Alternatively, there is street parking around the campus, but availability can be limited.

About the Speakers

Dr Lucy Corbett is a Lecturer in the School of Public Health at the University of Sydney with an expertise in teacher physical health.

Mr Tim Lloyd is a principal of Plumpton High School with experience in development and implementation of school wellbeing strategies

Ms Debbie Lowe is a Director at the Growth Coaching International with experience in providing coaching to teachers and school leaders.

A representative from the Department of Education, NSW Government, will speak about the strategies that were developed to support teacher and school leader wellbeing. 

About Wellbeing of tEachers and Leaders in schooLs (WELL) Node

The Wellbeing of tEachers and Leaders in schooLs (WELL) Node is funded by the University of Sydney's Sydney Policy Lab and led by three researchers at the University of Sydney, in the fields of psychology (Dr Lisa Kim), public health (Dr Lucy Corbett), and education (Associate Professor Louisa Peralta). 

The aim of WELL is to bring together teachers, school leaders, researchers, policymakers, and community members to co-create, implement and evaluate policies and practices that can improve the wellbeing of teacher and leaders in primary and secondary schools in Australia.
