Wellbeing Walk - Awaruku Bush Reserve
Description
Connect to Nature: Wellness Walks
As the year draws to a close and calendars begin to fill with end-of-year commitments, family gatherings and festive celebrations, take a moment to slow down and reconnect with the natural world. This ranger-led wellbeing walk offers an opportunity to step away from the busyness of the season and experience local parks and reserves in a different way.
Combining gentle exploration with mindfulness and nature connection practices, each walk is designed to help participants pause, observe, reflect and engage with the environment through all their senses.
Guided by the landscape, weather and season, we will take a slow-paced journey through some of Auckland's special natural places. Along the way, you'll learn about local ecology, biodiversity and conservation efforts while taking part in activities that encourage presence, curiosity and connection.
Whether you're looking to recharge, find a moment of calm before the festive rush, connect with like-minded people, or simply enjoy time in nature, these walks provide a welcoming space to breathe, notice, learn and connect.
Suitable for adults with moderate fitness and mobility levels as the ground is uneven in many places. Walks are completed at a relaxed pace with regular stops for observation, discussion and reflection. 🌿
Breathe. Notice. Learn. Connect.
