Take a midweek pause for reflection, growth, and connection. All Things Wellness Wednesday is a weekly gathering over home-cooked Japanese dinner (or brunch) at Flowwa where we explore practical tools, fresh perspectives, and meaningful habits that can enhance your well-being.

Each week, we dive into different aspects of wellness: from mindfulness, balance, and self-care to nutrition, emotional awareness, and sustainable habits. We will practice some breath-works. Through open conversation, shared experiences, multiple perspectives, we build a supportive tribe that learns and grows together.

We’ll exchange ideas and practical tips for self-care and community-care. Over time, these (bi)weekly moments of connection help us build consistency, clarity, and empowerment in our personal wellness journeys.

As part of the evening, we’ll enjoy making and sharing Japanese wellness meal, including the popular Onigiri (rice balls) and try entry-level Japanese mindful eating practices.

Dinner (or brunch) is included (hands-on, make your own Onigiri rice balls)
1 welcome drink (per person) on the house
Bring your own food/drinks if you have food requirements (optional)
Bring a pen and a journal or notebook (optional)

Who's this for?
This is perfect for MINDFUL-EATING BEGINNER. Someone who's NEW to MINDFUL-EATING. As we continue the weekly gathering, we will go deeper into the mind-body connection through eating, breathing and mindfulness practices.
If you're looking for mindful eating as a form of trauma-therapy, talk to Kerry, Japanese meditative arts practitioner, about your options.

(Q) Do I need to attend every week?

(A) No, you can attend any or all. Brunch and Dinner sessions are the same, pick either or come for both!!

By coming to this gathering, you're helping mental health of survivors of violence in their recovery journeys! All profits are used to run art x mindfulness programs for survivors.

Flowwa is a survivor-led, Not-For-Profit organisation that runs art x wellness workshops, nature retreats and peer-support for violence survivors. Flowwa is rooted in our love for flowers and the specific Japanese belief about nature - that humans are equal residents of this planet alongside all living things. It's in our name "Flow-wa" - 'Wa' in Japanese means 'Harmony' and 'Community'. Lastly, 'Wa' is the sound of amazement, joy, wonders and appreciation.

Like all kinds of flowers in nature, everyone's journeys of healing and growing is unique and everyone has an important role to play in our community. Survivors' stories give so much insights and drive to make the world safer, healthier and kinder.
