Wellness Wednesday: A mindful start to your morning with Shannen O'Hara

The Ireland Funds Australia Young Leaders are delighted to announce our Wellness Wednesday event in collaboration with the Consulate General of Ireland, hosted by Shannen O'Hara.Â
Grab your friends and join us for a breathwork and journalling session followed by breakfast and networking at the Consulate office in Sydney. Â
Shannen is an Internationally IPHM-accredited Holistic Life Coach ,Breathwork Facilitator , Yoga Teacher, Holistic Trainer & Founder of Flow Mindfulness Events. Shannen specializes in guiding individuals on a journey from self-doubt to self-belief, nurturing within them a resounding "yes I can" mindset that empowers them to embrace their full potential with confidence and capability. Her mission is to inspire and empower others to lead lives filled with purpose, passion, and look after their wellbeing.
All funds raised will go to the chosen Young Leader Support Projects, which are the Irish Support Agency NSW, the Belvedere Youth Club in Ireland, the Irish Australian Support & Resource Bureau VIC and the Irish Australian Support Association of Queensland in Australia.

The Irish Support AgencyÂ
- The Irish Support Agency’s Mission is to provide front-line support to anyone in the Irish-Australian community who finds themselves in circumstances of vulnerability or distress. They endeavour to promote mental health & wellbeing and a sense of connection in our community. 
- They do this through: referrals to qualified specialists for advice, running senior drop in groups and computer classes, Outreach services, and Being there when you need someone from home around you for practical guidance and help with navigating Australian systems community education and support programs with key contacts at the Irish Consulate and Australian Government departments.
Belvedere Youth Club
- Belvedere Youth Club (BYC) provides vital services to young people aged 7 to 24 in Dublin's North East Inner City. Open 6 days a week, BYC offers everything from homework clubs and arts & crafts to employability programs and targeted interventions. Their outreach team even takes youth work to the streets, engaging those who are hardest to reach. BYC is committed to supporting the personal development and well-being of all it's members.
The Irish Australian Support & Resource Bureau VIC
- The Irish Australian Support & Resource Bureau is a non-profit organisation that was formed in the early 1970s with the aim of supporting the Irish Australian community. They have been supporting Irish Australians in a multitude of ways since those earlier years. The organisation helps the community by acting as a backbone of support, friendship and care in Victoria.
- The scope of their assistance is flexible to individual needs and issues. If you are experiencing distress, trauma, hardship or simply want to feel part of a community – The Irish Australian Support and Resource Bureau have your back. In addition to the groups of people they support, there is a community of amazing people that holds the organisation together strongly. With social gatherings and activities throughout the year, they welcome all ages to get involved for a bit of craic and comradery.
The Irish Australian Support Association of Queensland in Australia
- The Irish Australian Support Association of Queensland (IASAQ) is a Charity Organisation that seeks to supports the welfare of Irish Australians. IASAQ was founded in 2007, as it was identified there was a growing need to help Irish Families and Individuals in time of distress while living in Australia. We are funded by the Irish Government under the Emigrants Support Program from the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. We have sister organisations throughout Australia, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth which along with the Irish Embassy in Canberra, the Consulate in Sydney and the Honorary Consulate in Perth, provide access to information and support for the growing migration in Australia.
- ​Our mission is to provide appropriate and valued assistance to the Irish Australian Community in Queensland. We want to make sure the Irish community in Queensland, feel supported in times of isolation, vulnerability and crisis. As well as our people of all ages are connected to their culture and heritage.
