Wellspace Sauna Club is the go-to spot for those who crave more than just a night out. We've created a new kind of social scene - healthy, high-vibe, and hangover-free. Drop in for 3 rounds of 75min community sauna and cold therapy, and take a moment to connect with yourself, with others and with nature.

Sweat in our traditional wood-fired barrel sauna, plunge into the icy cold waters, then relax around the fire for some wholesome fireside chats. Wellspace is building real community with real people through powerful shared experiences, providing a warm and welcoming space for deeper conversations, stronger connections.

With epic natural landscapes, vibey atmosphere and an authentic crew, we attract high-vibe, open minded and fun loving legends who want to feel good, look good and live well.

How does contrast hydrotherapy work?

Contrast hydrotherapy combines the invigorating effects of hot and cold elements to enhance your wellbeing. Embrace the warmth of our wood-fired sauna, followed by a refreshing plunge into icy cold waters.

🔥 Immerse yourself in the heat and enjoy our 8-person wood-fired barrel sauna. With 3x 15-minute rounds of steam infusion at 80-100 degrees, enjoy silent, guided and social rounds in either our community sessions or as a private group booking.

❄️ Embrace the cold water and awaken your senses! Either plunge into the Kawarau River, brave the 1 - 4 degree ice baths or take a quick cold shower.
An epic way to revive and feel alive!

🌿 Relax in our cosy outdoor lounge, around the fire or in the garden. Rest, re-hydrate and repeat the process. Take in the views with complimentary tea and enjoy Queenstown’s most unique venue and sauna experience.

What do I bring?

- Please arrive no sooner or later that 15mins prior to the session start time to get the full experience. If you are late then you may have to wait.
- Bring along x2 towels - one to sweat on (required), the other to dry yourself. Towels can be hired for $4 each. Bathing in the nude is optional.
- It's recommended to bring a dressing gown and slippers to keep yourself warm between rounds.
- Also a water bottle (platic bottles are not to be taken into the sauna).
- This event is smoke, vape, alcohol and drug free.
- And a friendly reminder to leave your dogs at home as the venue has a no dogs policy.

Can I invite a friend?

Heck yeah you can. All we ask is that you follow the guidelines of our hosts and uphold the value of the space :)

**Owner operator** Rick Gutzewitz is a 5th generation Queenstown local, with his family having been established in the area since 1911. Rick is the co-founder of Wellspace - a grassroots project born after the Covid Lockdowns in 2020 to help improve the health and wellbeing of the Queenstown community. After council recognition for its voluntary service, it’s grown to be an immersive well-being experience built around sauna and cold plunge culture. ‍ With a background in personal training, mindset development and a passion for holistic health and wellbeing, Rick helps others find a deeper sense of presence and purpose. Rick is an easy going, authentic and enthusiastic human that loves connecting with great humans.
