Werribee Park Heritage Orchard Volunteer Information Session
Event description
Join us at Werribee Park Heritage Orchard for a Volunteer Information Sessions on Sunday 7th September, from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
Session includes a guided tour of the orchard and a grafting demonstration. Participants can also get involved in various orchard maintenance activities such as potting, weeding, irrigation upkeep, and more.
Whether you're an experienced gardener or just keen to learn, this is a great chance to discover what volunteering with us is all about. Come along, meet the team, and see how you can contribute to preserving this historic orchard.
No experience needed – just bring your enthusiasm!
What to bring:
Secateurs, garden gloves, metho spray (spray bottle with 30% water and 70% methylated spirits to clean secateurs), closed shoes, safety glasses.
Remember a hat, drink bottle, sunscreen, and mozzie repellent.
We recommend wearing long pants and a long sleeve top.
Directions:
Enter via Gate 5 – off K Road, Werribee South.
Go through the first gate on your left (opposite Shadowfax Winery).
Drive alongside the side of Chirnside Polo Field on your right, following the road to the end - this is the parking area.
